Reclaiming the Dancefloor: ‘Last Bus Home’ Daytime Clubbing returns in august following a stand out first edition.
Sunderland – Get ready to relive your clubbing glory days – but without the late-night hangover. Last Bus Home, Sunderland’s favourite daytime clubbing event, is set to take over Independent once again on Saturday 9th August from 3pm to 9pm, bringing with it a full-on throwback to the soundtrack of your youth.
Designed for the 30+ crowd who still love to dance but prefer to be in bed before midnight, Last Bus Home promises five hours of pure, nostalgia-fuelled fun. Expect a wall-to-wall mix of 80s and 90s anthems, with DJ’s spinning a blend of vinyl and digital across two rooms of expertly curated music. Local legends and Last Bus Home residents Loud Not Loud return in the main room with the biggest indie, pop and new-wave singalongs whilst ex-arena resident Graeme Clark joins the party taking over room two with a soundtrack of old school underground house anthems.
With a nod to Sunderland’s legendary nightlife heritage, the setlist will revive floorfillers from venues like KU Club, Chambers, Annabels, and more – all blasted through Independent’s industry-spec PA system and full club lighting rig for that authentic clubbing atmosphere.
Whether you were a regular in the KU kitchen or Chambers, this is your chance to go back – all before the sun sets.
Tickets are limited. Don’t miss Sunderland’s biggest daytime party of the summer.
